Default H22a good for turbo?

I'm tight on cash, I have 7000 to do a complete swap with turbo and I need the engine built, that means pistons rods cams sleeved with full turbo kit and a good suspension.

The cheapest route (best bang for buck) seems like H22a and Japanese Domestic Motors has it for 1850 complete swap.

So what can I expect from an H22a, if anything, from a turbo standpoint.

Those are pretty good motors. They do tend to be a little bit weaker in the sleeves than the b series, from what I've heard, but the larger displacement will be spool friendly and torque friendly which is nice. If you've got 7g's to play with you should be able to come out with a pretty nice setup. You will have to shop around though if you're looking to do the suspension and everything for 7g's. Remeber you'll need the trubo kit, fuel management, motor build, gauges and all that. Adds up fast.

it's neither the valves or sleeves, its the ringlands. The sleeves are frm so in order to run forged pistons you have to sleeve it.

I am getting forged pistons, skunk2 cams, it's getting sleeved and I'm getting a full turbokit with gauges and all the turbotimers and such for 2700 dollars.

Are B-series turbos compatable with H or not?

you're getting all that stuff for 2700... hmmmm seems awfully cheap to me

don't forget that with the h22 you need custom mounts, axles, prelude shifer assembly and cables, etc....

b-series to h-series has nothing to do with turbo compatability... you need to figure out what kind of turbo it is... is it a t3/t4?
