H22 Turbo Build Help
Heres my motor setup
Darton MID sleeved block over-bored to 88.5mm, Crower rods, JE custom pistons 9:1 compression ratio, OEM bearings, internally balanced rods pistons and crankshaft, Cometic headgasket, Pro-drive oil pump and new OEM oil pump housing, ARP head studs, ARP rod bolts, ARP main cap bolts, and stainless valves.
I'm looking to build mid 400-500whp. I have an aftermarket Koyo aluminum full size radiator.
I haven't decided on which turbo manifold to go with yet. I don't want to give up the
full size radiator. I'm thinking at getting a LoveFab Mini Me Eq.
As for turbo, I can't decide. Fitment is going to factor this. I have plenty of room for a
3" downpipe ( esp traction bar ) Turbos that have crossed my mind is either Garrett GT35R,
Precision SC61, or Borg Warner S362. These are just the ones that I have research and seen
guys running on their build.
If you guys can help me pick one out, that would be great.

You need to have some power goals, use of the car, (drag/street, road race, etc), as well as your budget for the turbocharger and the rest of the equipment that you have. You've obviously looked at over 400whp of some sort based upon the turbos you're looking at, but it may be that something smaller is used if you're attempting to keep certain radiators and other components. A love fab mini would work, but the chassis is important as well.
A lot of this on your "preferences" before we can help further.

I don't plan on drag racing at all. Road racing is what really interests me, and I have
been doing so with my car for the past 2 years. Budget wise I don't want to spend over
$1500. I'm leaning towards approx 1200-1300.
I have the motor all done already. The other things I will need to look at is possible upgrading the Fuel and Ignition setup. I currently have RC 750cc Injections, may need to
upgrade later on. I'm still running stock ignition as this time.
I've got Hasport/DDS axles already. Not to sure what I'm going to do with the Transmission yet. I also have a ACT stage 3 clutch.
Most of the parts I just listed is being used right now with my current setup. Which includes stock motor with a drag turbo kit.

I suggest the borg warner turbo. Are you running a/c and power steering because that will play a role in what turbo manifold you can run also. Maybe a top mount like so. post #335 http://www.************.com/forums/s...292393&page=14
