it's possible... it's either that or i'm acquiring another car with a built motor so those might come in handy.

SC61 = way too laggy for a stock ls IMO... especially with the powerband I was looking for... I'm considering selling the 60-1 still for a GT32E, but it'll have to work for now

I got that same clutch and it puts it down nasty, but a 7.5lb flywheel...isnt that a lil too light Marc?
Hurm...you have an LS tranny? It could make up for the slow revving tranny.

I'm probably going with the GT3255, but I might change my mind again.

What exhaust wheel does it have in it? A T3/60-1 with a stage III wheel and a .48 A/R housing would be a solid choice for the street A friend of mine had an SC61 on a stock LS motor, it did pull hard up top and made some good peak numbers, but you have like 2500 RPM's of useable power, wouldn't be my first choice.

yup... exactly what i was thinkin i'd probably do if i don't change out the whole turbo is to go to a .48 a/r turbine housing. this is a .63 a/r with a stage III wheel.

I'm concerned why you think a 60-1 will be much better than a SC61. SC61 atleast has the GT series crap, 60-1 is just an older style turbo. Neither are good choices for the street AT ALL.
Any LS owner with a brain will know LS=all midrange. Get a T3 or a T28 or something of the sort so your powerband wont suck. Nothing better than driving in a LS with a t3/t4 and then the look on the face of that person when they get in a car with a similar setup but a 60 trim t3. 235-240wtq at 4000rpm tends to freak people out.

A T3/60-1 with a stage3 wheel will spool a solid 1000 RPM's quicker than an SC61 that comes with a stage 5 wheel. With a .48 A/R housing he'll have boost by around 4000 RPM's, which is plenty good for the street IMHO.
