which guages?
i plan on getting some autometer guages (boost, oil press, etc) cuz i have my turbo kit coming in
which guages are better? mechanical or electrical? and why?
i want them to be accurate, but i also want to keep costs down
what other brands have good guages. i dont care if they look ugly, i just want ones that work well.
thanks

Re: which guages? (Pengo)
either the greddy or defi guages. i would go with greddy 52mm guages they are fairly competitive in pricing. The autometers have been very troublesome in the past.

Re: which guages? (b18bturbo)
u mean all of the autometers? or jsut specific ones?
my boost guage will prob be greddy so im not worried about that one then
i'm just wonderin wat i should get for all the other lil guages
isn't defi kinda expensive?
i havent had much experience with aftermarket guages

Re: which guages? (SO3Burner)
i did search...alot too
everyone seems to like the greddy or defi.
some like autometer, some hate it
still, these are some of the more expensive brands
i'm wondering which cheaper brands still work well.
i mean, are the cheaper ones really that inaccurate?
or everyone would simply rather see nice faces and name brands sitting in their ride?

Re: which guages? (turkish)
some people say that the autometer boost gauges are inaccurate...
if this is true, is this only at like high boost, or at all levels
i only plan to run 6-8 psi and i just want something to monitor it with.
the autometer boost gauges go for pretty cheap on summit racing
should i go for it?
thanks

Re: which guages? (Pengo)
autometer gauges work fine. they arent top quality but they do the job. they may be set from the factory a little off, but the important point is that they will show you if something changes/ goes wrong.
yeah autometers are kinda cheap but that didnt stop the thugs from stealing them!!!!

Re: which guages? (falconGSR)
how bout autometer vs. VDO quality-wise.
i kno the VDOs look very simple and plain, but i dont care how it looks
and i can definitely get the VDOs cheaper.
plus alotta my gauges will be hidden most of the time anyway
anyone have experience with the VDO gauges?
i guess im with the autometers for now tho
