Default gt35 on a d series

been doing some searching on what turbo to use for a drag car we are building.

basic set up is
d16z6
p&p head
springs
retanors
cam
--------
vitara
eagle
hondata or motec ????
pump fuel

would the gt35 be too big for this sort of set up ??

That 60-1 specifications that you're showing CAN do over 400whp as it sits, but it needs to have the larger exhaust wheel for the top end and over 500whp mark.

As for other choices, there are a LOT of other turbos in the Garrett and BW camps that can reach that without a problem. The differences are in your budget, flanging and availability. Look to other people's setups to see their subtleties . Otherwise, this gets vague and endless.

I had this same exact turbo, GREAT TURBO ran it for close to 6 1/2 years before the shaft snaped at the turbine wheel, I made 533wph 413ft.lbs.@33psi. boost Felix (El Gato) Medina Tuned and ran a best time of 10.46@127MPH lettin off at 1000ft. mark
