Default GT30R ok for street/strip d-series?

I've been trying to do a little research on some turbo d-series setups but with the search engine omitting the d, it's hard to come up with solid results.

Looking into Turbo D, and the car will basically be my daily driver, and will also be seeing track time and I'm looking to have a fun car to drive since my Sentra is LAGGY and I'm going to go with something I can have a little more fun with this time.

I'm looking into the GT30R, does anyone have any experience with this turbo on a d-series? I can't decide between the .63 and .82 a/r housing, although I think that the .82 a/r may be overkill and be a bit laggy. My goal is at least 400whp on race gas, I'd like to break 300 on pump but we'll see. Here's the setup I'm looking at basically:

D16z6
GT30R .63 or .82 a/r
Top Mount Manifold (been speaking with someone, will be a/c and p/s compatible )
Tial 44mm external wastegate
3 inch downpipe, testpipe, catback
2.5 inch i/c piping, Precision Intercooler 600hp intercooler
Crome engine management

I'm still deciding on the internal work, cam, intake manifold and all that but the turbo kit is my main concern as I'd like to make sure I'm not a lag monster since I'll prob. be running the kit on a stock engine until my extra engine gets built just so I can screw around and have a little fun.

So, anyone with experience/info/advice on a GT30R powered D, your input is welcome! Thanks

If you dont want lag I might try someting a little smaller. Here is a dyno of a Gt28 on a Z6.

Hmm.....Hmm.....

The problem I'm having with the T2 series turbo's is that they can't make the power that I am wanting to make, but it is beginning to seem like there aren't really any decently sized turbo's that won't have moderate lag on a d-series.

This is beginning to make me think that I either have to lower the amount of power that I am going to put out, or I am going to have to deal with some lag.

Keep the info coming though!

Stock D16z6 and I mean bone stock...10psi by 4400rpm with the .63. I used to have an Apexi kit, and this thing spools up almost just as quick. Its is fun even on the street.

The reason I didn't want to go with the 2871R is because I didn't think it would hit 300 on pump gas, plus the 30R would make the higher power once I started upping the boost. I plan to go well over 400 on race gas, but we'll see.

Just like to have my ducks in a row.
