Default GT30R on my D16 / or I keep my SC50 .63ar ???

Hey guys help me on this choice cuz a local guy here sell a new GT30R.

I dunno if this turbo would create more or less lag than my T3/T04E .63ar?? I like my SC50 but I would like a turbo who will spool a lil bit faster and would keep pushing until really hard until the redline.

So which one is the best on my setup... Do the GT30R is too big for me ?? I want to boost 15 psi on pump fuel.

BTW My engine is fully build FROM A TO Z.

Thanks ( my choice will depend of your comment )

I'm not sure about your power goals, but you might want to look at the
GT2871R Rated at 400 HP. It would fall between the GT28rs which is rated to 350, and the GT30R is rated to 500.

I'm sure you seen boosted_hybrid's post when he switched from a gt3071 to a gt28rs

A wise advice!
More punch, negligible lag.

Stick with the SC50 unless you want to make bigger numbers.

well its not too bad... it begin to spool at 3500rpm and I see 15 psi at 4500-5000 rpm but man after that it push so hard until 8500rpm !!!

After many reflection... I will keep my SC50 !!

I have a 60trim .63ar on my fully built dohc ZC (1.6 dohc non-vtec). I start to spool also around 3500 and get 15psi by 4800-5200rpms.

Im thinking about swapping the .63ar housing to a .48ar - but id really like to get the gt2871R! Such a sweet turbo.

the gt30r will spool way faster than an sc50, and its ball bearing.
