Default GT Series Maps

Would anyone have maps for the GT series turbos?? I am looking for something that would produce about 400-450whp at max 20psi.

Thanks.

Turbo by Garrett doesnt show a map for the 56 trim only for the 50 and 54.

So how big is the major diameter on the 56 trim wheel considering the 54 trim is 88 mm, I had seen a few sites list the gt 40 56trim at 3.22 major or 82mm like the 50 trim?

What the deal with that? Some help here...

The GT40 56 trim has a 2.41" inducer 3.22" exducer. Hope this helps.

I look at the maps they seem to flow the same for the 50 trim 82 mm and they look like a 56 trim , but with a higher pressure ratio, why even have a 56 trim, I know those maps arent the gospel truth but ....they seem to flow about the same.

Why arent they using the 88mm wheels yet??? that looks badass for my set up.

Yeah if you look at the maps they appear to flow the same with only a slight difference. Alot has to do what what housing you use and turbine. If you know what parts you want we can put something together. What did you have in mind?

Well I'm ready to get flamed on this one here but,

I have a 93 Dodge Colt 4dr, its full drag car now, it has a 4g63. I ran 11.04 @124 mph with a TO4E 60 trim O- trim and a .58 housing. It was on a HKS cast manifold, the one like John Sheppard and Dave B have(DSM guys).
Otherwise it was a stock but freshened up long block. I was also using a fwd auto tranny.

I'm building a motor with rods and pistons and I sold the smaller turbo. I was pretty interested in the SC 61, I'm putting nitrous on the car to spool the turbo so i'd like to get the 76 trim wheel and use a .68A/R rear housing with a v band to match the exhaust I already have.

I was only looking for maybe a total of 600 whp after the n2o and thought that would be a good turbo for the money. I really dont figure I'll need that much hp but I'd like to have a little room to grow from my old turbo.

I'll post some pics of my car if you want to see them, but I know a couple of guys on this board know who I am already.

I'm just tired of the set up I have now, I ran it way too long because I'm a broke *** sometimes...

Thanks
Tom Hartshorn

Did that help at all?, I really like the look of the SC61 from the maps.

I just have to stay with T4 exhaust mounting due to my manifold.

GT Series stands for ballbearing. There is no such thing as non ballbearing GT.

Thanks for the posts guys.

Any recomendations on the A/R for the GT40 56 Trim, I am looking to spool up quickly, but sill have plenty of top end ??? Also I got a little confused what about the turbine (exhaust) side what specs should I consider there??? How will that effect the overall performance.

GT serires doesnt mean ball bearing. The GT series is the latest technology of compressors and turbines. I have a GT40 non-ball bearing right now.

yeah, originally the gt-series was ment to be full ball bearing. soon we will be offering the same high performance, new technology gt wheels in a non-ballbearing configuration. this will be nice for those who are looking for the flow and efficiency of the gt wheels, without the ballbearing price. we will also be posting pics of our new t3/66-1, which will be the first installment in our PeakBoost series of turbochargers. this turbo flows 75 lbs/min from a 6 blade wheel, and is mated to a t3 turbine housing and wheel...

so to answer the question, gt series no longer designates only ballbearing.

p.s.: art, im sending you the payment for that block today..

Ok, sorry about that, I was misinformed, but thanks for setting things straight.

So what would be a comparable GT non-ballbearing turbo to a T04E 60-1, .63 AR, stage3??? This is the turbo I was thinking about going with at first, but if the GT series non-ballbearing turbos are in the same price range, it would be a good alternative. What are your opinions?
