GSR with LS RODS???
I have heard different things about the LS internals can somebody clearify things with me I want to put stock LS pistons in my car so I can boost t rather then keeping the GSr pistons which have a higher C ratio...
but is there a difference in rods?? should I keep the LS rods or swap and put the GSR rods on the LS pistons??
would this effect anything like my rod stroke ration or something like that???
the gsr rods are 98 i dont know the year of the ls ones.....

Re: GSR with LS RODS??? (GSE980)
Plenty of people boost on stock GSR engines, and Type R which is even higher comp.
It really just needs to be tuned well and safely.

you cannot use the ls rods as they are a different length than the gsrs.
Also, the valve reliefs in the oem ls pistons may not match the gsr valves properly.
The easiest way to lower compression would be to use a thicker head gasket.

if you use the LS crank, pistons and rods in the GSR block it will clear the valves... Its just like doing a LSvtec your just using the GSR block so you dont have to do all the oil lines, dowlpins and you have a block girdle.
If you have to replace the pistons anyways just get some CP's and eagle rods.. Its not going to cost you that much
