GSR block or LS block???
right now i have a portflow GSR head with the combustion chambers spotfaced to a 2.0l set up and am currently tryin to decide what block would be best for my needs...should i get a gsr block and bore it to a 2.0l or run an LS?Vtec set up with the LS block bored to a 2.0l..keep in mind the sleeves and all work will be done by bensons machine....im hopin to make the 600hp mark..but at the same time want some sort of reliability...i will most likely also be spraying...possibly a 75 shot to spool the turbo...i just dont no what block to go with....any help is appreciated
I would get a GSR block over a LS block. With a LS block, you will need to drill and tap the block for the VTEC. So you'll have a much cleaner setup with a GSR block.

what are you talking about. I did ls vtec here in my garage. Benson sleeved block nothing was drill and tapped for vtec on the block. All I had to do is block the oil passage on the HEAD, get ls vtec dowel pins and slapped the head on. To get oil to the vtec head I used the golden eagle sandwich adapater.

yeah, i think if both setups are built right you can't go wrong with either. I really like the TQ that the LS bottom end gives you though
