Greddy turbo intake elbow Question???
I was cleaning my air filter the other night and noticed that the greddy intake elbow has a plate welded onto the end of it which seems liek it would restrict intake flow. it is almost like a big washer welded on the end of it. wouldn't this restrict the intake air flow? Is it part of the CARB legal bullsh!t?? does anyone have opinions of answers. Im thinking of cutting in off so there is no restriction but could this be bad in any way??

What is this crap?
Re: Greddy turbo intake elbow Question??? (greddyturboGSR)
that restrictor is probly part of the CARB certification somehow, but if its gone, who would know? i suspect removing it could contribute to boost spiking or creep.
i have no idea since i removed it before i even installed the kit. if u want to remove it, hit each weld with a dremel cutting wheel takes about 90 seconds and its gone.

yea I think im gonna go ahead and cut mine out then see what happens. it can always been tacked back into place and it seems like the intake would flow better without it.
