Greddy Timer not working... engine shuts off
Ok, so I THOUGHT I had this turbo timer all hooked up right...
I found the fat white wire that goes from the ignition switch to a plug under the dash to be the constant 12v source, then the white/black wire that goes from the ignition to a second plug under the dash was the ACC, and then a yellow wire that goes to the same plug as the ACC, but is the ON wire...
Hooked them all up accordingly, but the car just shuts off even when I have the turbo timer in P-1 or P-2 mode (ie, defaults are 1:00 and 3:00 for P-1 and P-2).
In the manual for the Turbo timer, it mentions some ignitions having 5 wires instead of 4... "constant", "acc", "on", "start" and another "on" that drops voltage when start is engaged. Is the 95 civic coupe like this, or is it just 4 wires (constant, acc, on, start)?
Anybody got any ideas? I tried moving the switch around on the back from IG to ACC and back, and also different combinations with the switch on the back and the IG/ACC mode in setup, to no avail. If I set both to ACC, however, the engine shuts off, but the timer starts it's countdown and leaves the ACC line hot... I assume this setting must be for if your wiring is switched around on your car or something.
Anyway, any help would really be appreciated. I just spent like 3 hours wiring it all up, pretty frustrating that it doesn't work now... :\

Yeah it's grounded well... I might try moving the ground... but, if it weren't grounded, wouldn't it not power up at all? Mine starts up fine and I can mess with the settings and everything, it just doesn't keep the engine running when I turn the ignition off.

Re: Greddy Timer not working... engine shuts off (Mase)
i just read the greddy manual, it states:
With vehicles that have 2 ignition (ON) wires, connect the Green Wire to the ignition (ON) wire which does not drop voltage when the starter is activated. Then connect the blue wire to the other ignition wire.
Hope that helps

Re: Greddy Timer not working... engine shuts off (Mase)
So the civic then has 2 ignition wires? The Chilton's manual I have only shows four wires from the ignition switch (constant, acc, on, start), not five (constant, acc, on, on with voltage drop on start, start)... of course, we all know how helpful a chilton's manual is...
Can anyone please confirm or deny this?

check ur ground
i put my blitz one in and i didn't read the instructions
one of the safety wires (like the one for the handbrake) must be grounded if not hooked up to the handbrake.
i just left it unhooked and the TT just shut the car off

Not gonna take it to a shop... there aren't any around here, plus it's not worth it to me. I really try to do all my own work.
Anyway, I'm off to check all the stuff people suggested. I have the feeling that I have it wired up wrong because I wired it like a 4-wire ignition and the civic actually has a 5-wire (seems likely, if the teg does and the 00 ex does, mine probably does)
Time to bust out the voltmeter again.
