Greddy PE2
What would it take to put the new Greddy PE2 70mm exhaust off a GSR onto a 98 Civic EX. I'm just interested in dimensions of if the mid pipe is too long or too short for the Civic's header/cat. Will I need to cut the exhaust or add more to it?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
Are you guys telling me that no one has ever tried to put an exhaust made for an Integra onto a Civic? Common guys... would it make you feel better if I told you the car was FI or do I have to post this in the Civic area? I'm getting tired of having no choices for exhaust when it comes to FI. The only people that make anything close to this is Thermal.

hey paul...i got gsr exhaust on my hatch. the midpipes are the same (bends and hangers). i had to add about two inches in the cat pipe section. the rear section should bolt up to your hangers also. i had to shorten the rear section but you shouldn't have to. all you may have to worry about is the cat section...maybe not.
OK, for anyone interested the Greddy PE2 for the Integra GSR DC2 will fit a 96-98 Civic EX with slight modification to the cat. Basically the exhaust bolts right up and hangs properly. Possibly a bit too inward at the rear bumper, but no big deal (I have aftermarket rear bumper, so it comes out a bit more then the stock bumer would.) The center hanger grommet by the shifter is a bit of a stretch, but for anyone **** enough you can just turn the hanger on the exhaust 180 degrees facing backards and it lines up fine. As for the cat, get a custom made one from whereever. I got mine from Random Technologies to fit my Kamikazi 2.5" colector headers and bolt up to this exhaust. The cat has to be about 13.5" long. That's about 2" or so shorter then the stock cat. And no, if you had the stock cat shortened it still wouldn't bolt up because the flange on the exhaust is 2.5" ID. So, with that said... the exhaust is just as loud starting up as my old custom one was, but oh well... looks a lot better. I'll let you know if it drowns me out while I drive just as soon as I do that.
BTW, if you have a similar setup with the same 2.5" colector downpipe or headers, you can always call up Random Technologies and get them to look up my name and make you the same cat. It'll fit a 96-98 Civic EX perfectly. I must say, looking under the car looks just like an exhaust with a cat and header should look like. No nasty welded **** adapers to make things work. It cost a bit, but it's not getto. Do it right or keep saving the money, otherwise you'll pay again to do it right the 2nd time.
Everyone thinking of getting this for your Civic, enjoy! BTW, 99-00 Civics have basically the same layout, so I don't see why this wouldn't hold true for them also.
Oh yeah, one more thing for the enquireing minds out there. THIS WRITEUP IS ONLY FOR COUPES!!! 2-Door Civics. Not 4 doors and not hatches. So sorry.
