I was told that the greddy kit for GSR would not bolt on to the 01 model.. because the downpipe has to be modified (is it jus the lenght issue? too short or long) or clearance issue which i doubt is the case.. I was also told that you can run the greddy black box, and must use like a vortech FMU or something? I dont see a reason why this kit wouldnt bolt on the 01 model besides that you might have to modify your piping a bit to make it fit due to cat size being different which any muffler shop can do within minutes.. Please shed some light on this.. thanks!

 

well to make it fit you have to make the dp longer and the FCU might not work, because 00-01 GSR's are obd-II and Half, not just obd-II, but I think it should still work. Someone on this board did this on his 00 GSR and said he even used the FCU that came with it.

i have a 2001 gsr with greddy turbo fcu will work without a problem but u need wiring diagram for the gsr ecu because greddy doesnt supply it and the dp has to be about 3 inches or so longer. also you need to weld a bung for the o2 sensor in the dp as 01 gsr has a o2 in the header not in the cat.

 

all GSR's have a o2 in the header, 96+ have another in the CAT...

every OBD2 gsr has 2 o2's
