Greddy instal on GSR - help please
the internal wastegate actuator thingy and the AC condenser fan are running into eachother. the ac condenser fan is sitting 1/2" to the right of the wastegate actuator and wont move the 1/2" to the left needed so i can bolt it in. the greddy instructions say nothing about modding the AC condenser fan. do i need to cut the part of the condenser fan in the way?
thanks for the help!

Yes, the GReddy instructions do suck *****.
I went through the entire install quite a few times before actually doing the install. But like you said, live and learn. Good luck.

Hey Joe I think I can help out ... Yes the GReddy Instructions SUCK - Just ask Art and Chris.
You have to Dremel (shave) part of part of the "shround of the fan"
We also drilled new holes in the bracket so that it would give more than enough room, and pulled it forward.
Here's link to a good install site, PM me if you need anything

If you think the instructions sucke, try using no instructions. When we installed Freds turbo, I spent a good time planning to make the install go smooth. I read the link he gave us and knew what to expect. Joe, IM me if you need me and I'll give you my work #.

definitely would have been better off with no instructions - they keep misleading me. i trusted them too much.
cool - thanks guys. i might have a clearance problem with the radiator fan motor. but it looks like the motor itself not the shroud...we will see
i dont know what i was thinking - art and chris made the install sound 100% bolt on and only take a few hours. yeah right...bolt on = fabrication, dremel, bend, cut, test fit, cut some more. fit again, then bolt on. oh well...its coming along but its not as fun cause i was rushing thinking its taking too long but its not. i am going slow from now on. dont care when i finish anymore - just dying to get back playing with the ems and boosting....

Re: Greddy instal on GSR - help please (falconGSR)
yeah you have to cut the fan housing to get it to fit. if you read http://www.turbocivicsi.com it is really helpfully. and better than the directions. i did the entire install without any directions, i just read that sight and myself a professional. i did not even read directions when i did my drag3 install.
who needs friggin' directions

Yeah, take your time. Some of the guys on here make it look sooo simple, lol, but what you described is what I went thru too. Cut and fit, cut and fit, damn these directions suck, etc. Less time you take, stuff is apt to break. You'll get there.

Thats an awesome idea FredoSP- I took mine off yesterday and couldnt get over how close it was sitting to the fan shroud. I never thought of redrilling the bracket to pull it back.

cut the holes where the screw goes in & make them oval shapedso you can slide it back & forth
pull the radiator towars the front until it clears

APEX i GSR - you were right, I just looked at the Instructions.
DeepSi - if you want a copy I can send them to you, just so you have them, something for you Joe, but then again your 90% done. Ask Art to make you a copy cause I mailed him them.

anyhow got it resolved. got it cut and i am basically done with the install except since i have a 00 gsr the downpipe is too short have to take it to a shop
still have to figure out how to put the air filter on - for the GSR there are 4 bolts but i need 4 nuts to bolt the air filter to the plastic filter flange thingy.
started her tonite and i loved the sound of open downpipe. let things warm up looking for leaks - none found thank god.
once i get this air filter installed i can go to the mullfer shop
mullfer . hah. i am way tired.
