Greddy E-01 vaccum lines
okay so im near the end of my build. I Bought this e01 with no manual. I have a wastegate that takes 2 vaccum hoses. An a OBX vaccum rail to use as my vaccum source. Where do i connect my vaccum lines to my BOOST CONTROL VALVE.
can some one help me out I know alot of people use this boost controler.
The ports are COM, NC, NO. i searched an searched! did not find what i was looking for.
any information would help! thanks!
oh, another Q.
What about the sensor that was on my cold air intake? Its like a o2 sensor or some thing. Do i have to drill a hole in my charge pipe that conects to my Intake manifold?
I will be useing my a p28 with a obd1 conversion harness.
thanks again!

Re: (GSROWNSU)
thanks man yeah i looked at that already. But was having a hard time figure'n out what vaccum hoses go where for my app. Cause my waste gate has 2 lines. An i was not sure wich one of my vaccum lines hooked up to my boost control valve.
Dose any of them hook up to the NO?
do i T both lines together an hook them up to the COM?
dose the NC hook up to my vaccum rail?
thanks again for the reply
any additional info is appreciated!

Re: (gettin it)
Always check the manufacturer's website cause almost all of them offer the manuals online. I am running the same boost controller and I love it. Works great and they have a lot of cool features.

Re: (TurboEK9Coupe)
yeah man a some pics would sure help! Im still confused tho...
That manual calls the wastegate something different, i think a "ACTUATOR". ?
It shows just one line running from the waste gate, but mine has 2 lines. witch is confuseing.
so it shows the lines from the Greddy Control Valve, one of them called the COM. An the other is NC.
COM-wastegate line?
NC- to my vaccum rail?
NO- i have no idea what to do with that port on the greddy control valve!
what about the 3rd one? its called the NO? what goes there?
thanks again guys! any info helps!
i know it cant be that hard, i just never messed with boost befor. I always been N/A 12.1 i cant wait to hit the dyno!

Re: (gettin it)
Ok so the "COM from the boost controller goes to the top port on your wastegate, and the "NC" goes to the pressure fitting on your turbo or any vacuum/pressure source. I have mine coming form the turbo. Its the cleanest pressure line you can run. Meaning that its un-interrupted. The other port on the valve controller remains open. Don't plug up that hole. And connect the bottom port on your wastegate to the intake manifold. Try not to tap all of your pressure lines from one vacuum source. And your should be good to go. Do you know how to set-up the controller. They are pretty confusing cause it deals with % as to when the wastegate starts to open. G/L Let me know if you need any more help on the set-up.

Re: (TurboEK9Coupe)
thanks! helpful info yo!
i will try that tomarrow an post my results an thoughts!
Im stil confused b/c if one if the ports is left open, meaning the NO. That is one big vaccum leak, I THINK? i conected a hose to my COM an blew into it an it seemed that all the air (would be vaccum) just went out the NO port that is not conected to anything.
My turbo dose not have a VACCUM line any where on it, so i would just run it to my OBX vaccum rail then i suppose..?
Huummm.... anyone else have thoughts on this!?
thanks again for the input!

Re: (riddlinkid1986)
It is supposed to remain open. It will not cause any vacuum leak leaving it open. All that thing is doing is delaying the pressure from opening your wastegate. Like I said, feel free to contact Greddy directly on the phone. All of these companies are more than glad to help you out. I will try to post some pics of my set-up tonight so you can see how it should look. Your turbo dosen't have a plug around the outlet on the pressure side? What turbo are you running?

I as well bought a used EO-1... I called greddy to try and buy a manual since the online manual suck... really grainy... Well the greddy dealer in not so many words said that the EO-1 is not that great and that they have stopped making it and recommened that I not use it
I did all kindas of work to get it in my car... I relocated my radio... made a block off plate and everything

Re: (DOHCIVIC)
im not shure what exact turbo i am running. I will snap a pic of the numbers an post it. as well as my hole set up! just got my new phone with good cam!
dohccivic- That is crazy man. I have not really hurd many bad things about this boost controller, b/c everyone at the drag strip seems to be useing it an love it .
I really have not hurd about a company making a product, selling it, an then bad mouthing it.... huum... but i guess its possible. Sorry to hear about your luck man.
Did you still use it? sounds like you did alot of work to get it put in right where you want it like me
Another Q
-The installation diagram says to hook the NO up to my Vaccum/pressure source. Not the NC. I think both ports are open, dose it matter?
Thanks for your info post up some pics tomarrow!

Re: (riddlinkid1986)
I wish I could help you in that department. Your tuner should know how to set it up. Thats what I had done. As long as you keep the controller off but still on at the same time it you know what I mean, you shouldn't boost past what the spring is rated for.
