Default greddy 15 w/ open downpipe, any experiences?

Im looking to get a quieter, oval muffler instead of my n1 style muffler. I considered gettin a twin loop and running a manual cutout off my greddy downpipe. That way i could cheaply still make good power at the track. I'm concerned about boost spikes though since the greddy kits already suffer from that problem. has anyone ran this kit with open dp? did it spike any worse than with full exhaust? I don't wanna put money into this and end up with something that just make spiking a severe problem. TIA

im going with a quiet exhaust for daily driving. with a manual cutout for the track so none of those points are valid.
Seems like I pretty much need to port the wastegate opening if im gonna run this exhaust set up. Seems pretty easy too, i just wish there was a larger flapper available.
