check for sources of vacuum leaks first like the TB gasket as above mentioned, then IAC/IAB/FIT - or maybe just a lumpy camshaft. also check your car isnt in limp mode, if it is reset the ECU

it is most likely your fast idler. it islocated underneith your throttle body. has 2 coolant hoses comin outta it. the is a cover on the firewall side of the fastidler held on with (2) 8mm bolds remove the cover and turn the (white) plastic part back into the housing. and pput cover back on.

Make sure you reset the ECU in either case...honda ecu's store wierd ilde issues in memory. After resetting the ECU, start the car and dont touch anything until it completely warms up (two cycles or the Fan).

sometimes coolant issues can cause this as well. check your oolant level and your system for leaks.

did you change the coolant lately?the most common cause i have seen for this is air in the water.when you refill it,it needs to run for a very long time with the cap off to let the thermostat open and for all of the air to get out.if you did not do that, you can probably just add some water when it is cooled off completely.just wait until the next morning and add as much as it will take
