Default Found idle problem!

I bought a b18 non v-tec through the net.Got it home and was looking the motor over and found the intake manifold gasket was wasted so I replaced it.The swap went very fast/easy but when I got the car running it would not idle, looked at all the typical vacuum leak, connector check and nothing.Yesterday my buddy came over and we pulled the IACV and it looked fine so we took the throttle body off and guess what it had the wrong gasket, went to the parts store and couldn't find a new one anywhere so I bought a gasket kit and made my own. Finally got it back together and BINGO it worked,so if all else fails check your gaskets and make sure they are all the correct gasket for your application!

Note: We found the intake manifold gasket was bad cause some of the intake nuts were missing,we just assumed somebody was tooling around with it and so we took it off and found RTV where the gasket had ripped from being removed.

Paper gaskets are easy to make just get some scissors, zacto knife, straight edge, and a hole punch either trace your old gasket or use a small hammer and gently tap the gasket material against the gasket surface to make a templet!

For the most part they are. Have you ever tried to make a TPS gasket? Fun times there...
