Got hosed on a block. Need help. Head stud is jammed in block...
First, see this thread http://www.hondamarketplace.com/show....php?t=2909553. My question is if the jammed head stud can stay in if it sits at the right height? Or will it affect the torque? I might have to TIG a piece of steel to the stud and use a long pipe to get it out! That's how hard it is in the block. Either way I have to heli coil the other 2 and weld the hole shut. Thanks for any help as I am quite angry at this transaction...

Wow that is sweet bro!! I would use timeserts on the head bolt holes best way to fix them, looks like the hole came from fluid being in the hole and it cracked the out side of the block. txt me tomorrow man

I'm pulling the pistons out now. I'm going to log all specs which should have been done in the first place!!!! I will keep you guys updated.
Get this! I pulled the fitting off the head for the oil feed and there are metal shavings all in the port!

metal shavings....motor is toast.....block is useless
Block is clean. No metal, no miles since it was at the machine shop. From what I can see anyway lol. No oil in the head either (well a few tiny spots). just straight shavings. Head could be toast or I could get lucky and it's fine... I'll pray for the best lol.
I'd be worried about having shavings coming out onto the bearing surface when you rebuild that thing...
