Default A good way to cool your turbo (watercooled)

My friend with a 944T told me about these little things. The 944T uses an auxilary water pump to feed the waterjacket of the cartrige. I'm just going to tap into the upper and lower radiator hoses so it flows thru the rad. I think it will work hella good, alot better than tapping into heater lines...etc...

the purpose of the porsche & audi after run pumps is to circulate the coolant through the turbo after the car is shut off. It keeps the bearings from coking.

The pump runs while the engine is running

Yeah, I think you are mistaken. The coolant naturally circulates by convection when the engine is off and still hot. Go read corky again

The pump is a really good idea, though. Did you just pull that from a boneyard? I'd be up for using one, but I doubt I could find a used one and I'll be damned if I'd pay the new price from Porsche! Any ideas on another pump that could handle the temps and continuous running?

those can also be found on older audi 5000's. I was thinking about hooking one to a turbo timer so when you shut your car off it circulates coolant through the turbo.
