Good turbo for my LS/Vtec
Heres the turbo specs:
57 trim, 50 AR, .48 exh housing, turbo is ported inside housing polished, Stg.3 wheels, clipped wheels,
My setup is stock LS/vtec, blox mani, 3" DP and exhaust, tial 38mm, and 2.5" IC piping, would this be a good turb0 to make around the 300-350 area and spool spmewhat quick?

yes, it will do that, but because of the slightly smaller volute, it will increase temperatures a bit, and works a bit better with the stage III wheel on a VTEC head. Keeps the midrange up for your powerband. Power will start to drop off a bit sooner with the .48. In an LS/VTEC application, power peaks at about 7500-7800rpms. On a .48A/R, its a about 7400-7000rpms.

What can I expect it to hit full boost at with the 48 comapred to the 63
Only reason why I posted those specs is cause I can get a good deal on one wih the 48

i saw a spool difference of around 500-600 rpms between a .48 and a .63 ar on an ls motor. for that lsvtec you really want the .63. my neighbor has the 57 trim with a .63 on his gsr and its pulling 8-9 psi before 4000rpms and is still cranking at redline

Its not the best idea to pick your turbo based on price.. get the one thats right for you. That being said, you're going to want the .63 housing.

if its really that good of a deal, get it, then sell the 48 housing and buy a 63 housing.
i tuned a gsr with a .63 57 trim , we made 300 hp and 210 ftlbs on 8-9 pounds of boost. if i was a little more aggresive it could have made 310-315 but its a stock motor and i wanted to keep it easy.
some past numbers that ive made on a 1.8L lsvtec with the 57 trim:
318/242 at like 14 lbs with a bad cylinder
265/220 on 6-7 lbs on a healthy motor
fuel was around 12:1 but timing was a little conservative on these tunes

go with the 57 trim .63ar or the 60 trim .63ar 60 trim a little slower to spool but u wont even notice it. Either will get u to ur goal. Not much lag either.. I mad 9 psi on stock gsr set up. ramhorn 2.5 IC pipe 60 trim .63ar 3" DP and exhaust. full boost at about 4.3k. And makes the power till redline which was set at 8400.
