First off, what are your intentions? Drag, auto-x, daily.....

Second, it's not about HP, it's about speed. Nevar seen a tire with a HP rating

I was asking myself the same question not too long ago, but I've found there's more and better options for a 15" rim so I'm going to go with a 15" now.

Theres only one street tire that is going to handle all of that 300 whp on the street and that is a drag radial such as the BFG g-Force or the Nitto NT-555R. If you aren't willing to run those then read the reviews of various tires on http://www.tirerack.com . Regardless, I don't think this should be in the Forced Induction forum. Ask in the Wheel and Tire forum.

The reason I am asking is there are not many options for good 16" tires. There are plenty for 15" though. If I asked in the tire/wheels section, I would probably get alot of responses from guys who dont have alot of whp, and would be of no help.

Name some of these tires that are made in 15" and aren't made in 16".

Well alot of companies might still make the tires in a 16", but in most cases they're too tall for a Civic or Integra. For example the BFG drag radials are made in a 16" but are just too damn tall.

Yeah the BFG drags are definitely size limited but that is to be expected with R compound tires. The BFG KDW come in some better sizes and provide great grip for a non R compound tire. They will be the next set going on my 350Z in 255 and 285 sizes. I normally pick my tire size and then see what companies can accomadate me instead of picking a tire and then seeing what size they have that I can hopefully make work but that might just be me.

Thing is, when you have 300whp in FWD platform you need R compound tires if you want to use the power on the street. You won't find the Nitto 555r or the BFG drags in a suitable 16" for a Civic or Integra.

The best tires I have seen so far are the new Azenis rt615, only available in 205/40r16, and the old Azenis 205/55r16's. Anyone run either of these? Anyone know how they look and fit? Thanks

Yeah I know that and we all know this guy isn't going to run R compound tires. He wants the cheap Azenis that everyone else runs on 15" wheels and don't come in good 16" sizes. So his original question is pretty much dead at this point, but I would recommend he look into some of the more expensive tires like the BFG KDW, Potenza S-03, or the new Toyo T1R.

When did he ever say he wouldn't run R compound tires? He said the Azenis are the best he could find in 16".

I didn't say he said that. I said we can assume that he doesn't want to run R commpound and Azenis are far from the "best" tire in 16".

Like what? The Azenis are one of the stickiest street tires besides R compound.

Yes. I do know alot about tires as I have worked at a tire shop and have put many a tire on many of my cars. As I first recommended, the tires in the link above are the best daily driver tires you can buy in my opinion. They provide great grip while not making you look like a moron in the rain. I don't know where you are getting your stats that you can broadly say that the Azenis are the stickiest tire out there. I posted what tires I would go with over the Azenis. Read my posts instead of just replying to them please.

The G-Force daily drive fine, but damn your looking for a tire that handle the power and drive year round? Im assuming you might have snow and that a big NO NO... One set for the summer and one set for the winter is your friend...
