is this a good place for oil return line?
I'm about to tap my oil pan...but I wanted to get a few comments first. I'm wondering a couple things:
1) Is this a good place to drill the oil pan?
2) Would it be better to drill a hole and put the flange on the inside of the oil pan and have the pipe sticking out. Then jb weld that on the outside of the pan.
- or -
Would it be better to drill a hole and put the flange on the outside of the pan. And try and jb weld it on the inside?
I'm kind of leaning toward putting the flange on the inside, only because I think I would be able to get a better seal. What do you people think?

it all depends on how your dp bends around your oil pan...for example, if you are using the drag 3 dp, I would put the return fitting right before the shallow end starts to get deep
Ok, I'll drill closer to the shallow area. The only reason I had it so far out was becuase of the support that is on the inside of the pan...I was trying to avoid that.
