Good Head Setup for Turbo?
I have a built GSR block with Si head along with a custom turbo kit running 15 psi tuned with Hondata. I want to get some work done to the head and was wondering a good setup. I was thinking about skunk springs and retainers, and getting 2 mm oversize valves. What is everyones opinion on getting valves that large for my setup? Here is the head setup that I want until you guys persuade me in another direction: GSR cams, skunk springs and retainers, 2 mm oversize valves, port and polish with port matching IM to head. Please give me your opinions. I will be purchasing this stuff in a week or so and need to know some answers on this setup. The options for valve size are .5, 1.0, 2.0 mm over. Why would one choose .5 over 2.0? Thanks
2mm over sized valves? Ya right good luck!
I would go .5mm over, with springs and retainers, thats about all you need. STAY AWAY FROM CROWER VALVE COMPONENTS for VTEC's. Thats the best advice I can give you

In my opinion, this is another rumor caused by the most hated company in the US in texas. The "imaginary" motor we had was 2 MM oversize valves.
That won't work. There is no reason to go that big with turbo. We are making rediculous HP with STOCK size valves, and some head porters out here in LA say stock size valves flow better than oversize valves.
Go with stock size.

What do you think about running .5mm over? If stock makes the most power then I will keep them. If .5 over would be the best then I will go that route. What is everyone's opinion on Endyn Valves?
Does anyone think that buy using .5 mm over valves I would gain any power? I have narrowed it down to .5 mm or stock. Is anybody running Endyn valves or know of anybody using them? thanks
The only raeson people tell me they buy Endyn valves is because they are nitro coated or something like that. I can't say there bad because I have never heard any complaints. I run all Ferrea. Valves, dual springs, retainers. To me there the best. A little pricey, but the best!
I also second the remark about Crower valvetrain components. You can find horror stories all over the place!

I'm using Endyn's coated stock sized valves and no probs yet. However, I later found out that you can buy "similar" type valves for less from other sources. They are not the only source for nitride coated valves. HPC is another option for stock valves as well if you feel you must have some type of coating.
