I was the one who locked the thread. If you would have looked back at it, you would have seen this response. Working with Golden Eagle in private is the best way to get this problem solved. Not many people want to help you if you're going to drag their name through the dirt. I understand this problem is frustrating for you, but the only person that can do anything is GE...

Quote from the last thread that you should have read.

I informed him that he should not have done that and that he can send the block in, but warranty was voided. I told him to send it in. if we find that we did something wrong we would still fix the problem. He then asked me "how much it would cost to fix it if its not something we did", I told him we can resleeve it for $550.00 + shipping of around $60.00. Customer said no problem, and would send in the block. please contact us for further questions so we can get this resolved asap.

I have not deck the block befor putting it in. I was saying is decking the block ok. I also ask him is decking the block ok. he say no. so i wonder has anyone in here have done it. i did not say golden eagle was bad. i might just end up sending to them. Now the othere question is. I am not looking for high hp, just about 300whp. I have a stock block. Do i save money buy just honeing that stock block, or resleeves the sleeves block.

If its their older style sleeves its likely that you did indeed sink a sleeve. GE posted that you told him you had the blocked decked before using it. Decking the block will not fix the problem if it has a sunken sleeve.

Did not deck the block befor putting it in. I just clean the surface and put the motor in. After a while i notice my oil pressure is low. Check the oil and OMG its milky, so i decide to take out the motor, to trouble shoot. Notice my finger nail gets stuck. So i decide to run a straight edge to check and sure enough one sleeves sunk..

Well according to Robert he stated that you decked the block. Maybe there was some confusion. Anyway it sucks that your gonna have to pay to have it resleeved since GE's older sleeves are junk..

there is no other option. Its like you are waiting for someone to come up with a magical answer to your problem. If you sunk a sleeve, it needs to be re-sleeved. Who better to re-sleeve it then the people who did it originally?

The stock block with the stock sleeve is not able to support your quest of 300hp. So, your only option is resleeve this one. If GE practice their customer sactifation just like everybody else, they should fix this problem if indeed it is worsmanship issue. I believed they stated that. So, send in your block and hope that the problem is a worsmanship one.

wow, even after what GE and the moderator posted you're still on HERE wanting answers? Please just give GE a call back and get the issue taking care of.
If GE is will to re-sleeve with their new HD sleeve then its a win win situation. You get the HD sleeves at just about half price and GE gets a satisfied customer. I only hope this play out the way I just describe. Later.

when i talked to you on the phone you did say you had it decked but either way you bought this block used not from us from a privet party so unflinchingly it is not under any warranty. the block will need resleeved and i did quote you a price. this post should not have been made i did answer all your questions on the phone no need post about a block that who knows where it came from how old it is or what has been done to it. we haven't made the old style sleeves in over 5 years.

I thought the sleeves were only warrentied for a year? If thats the case then, whats the issue? You bought the block used- no warranty, its AT LEAST 5yrs old- no warranty.....I swear, the nerve of some people....from the sounds of things GE has gone above and beyond anything I would of done for you.

This thread has been reported several times with good cause. If you have further issues or questions, contact Golden Eagle via PM or email. This is not something that should be on a public forum. It sucks, but that's the way things have to be. Please don't make a third post as it will be locked immediately. Thanks
