BUILT B16 Worth It? Turbo build.....
well my boy has been working on a "project" for the past 2 years....
He has a 9:1 built B16 block with golden eagle 84mm sleeves, STOCK CRANK, ect ect.....he was planning for it to be a Nitrous car and pump serious nitrous through it...
well 2 years went by and the motor was still sitting in the shell, never cranked, still brand new so i decided to buy it and actually do something with the car...i want to know if the B16 is even worth keeping for a nice turbo kit....i want to hit 600whp and not sure how well a b16 is for that with such a short stroke.....the head is a fully built B16 head going on that built block listed above...
should i try to get rid of the 1.6 and shoot for a 1.8 or will the 1.6 do just fine to make 600whp?

swapit is making nasty power with a b16. i made 540 with one and went 10.72. it can be made the 84mm will help. get some decent cams, a turbo that can move some air, and let her eat.

With a sleeved 84mm block your passed the 1.6l stage like stated.....the shorter stroke is just going to let you rev to 9k-10k like butter ....I personally like a higher reving car..."VTACK" sounds great up top....
