golden eagle fuel rail and precision injectors
i was just wondering how everyone goes about drilling out the fuel rail so the head of the precision injectors fits in it. thank you

you dont need to drill it, its oversized already just gotta push them in there, may wanna lube the orings, i ripped one getting it into the rail cause it caught...

Did you get the sport compact injectors or the ones designed for a DSM?
I have a Golden eagle rail and Precision Sport Compact injectors - lube the orings with light oil and press on they fit perfect.

i dont know what precision injectors i got, i know they are 1000cc because i got them flow tested, and there is no way that the injector is going into the fuel rail

mine were sport compact and they definitely fit, even though i didint think they would
youd be surprised, take a pic if they are that much bigger....

alright, im sure i can get the injector in the rail if it only goes as far as the rubber o-ring, but looking at my old rc eng injectors, they go in a lot further, so the o-ring is more in the injector. heres some pics
i can get it in with the o-ring, but it will stop at the black plastic lip thing
on this last pic, i took the o-ring off so you can see how far it will go in if i put it in with the o-ring, is that enough?

No matter what you will need an O-ring. Without one, it will leak for sure.
Anyhow, you may have luck looking for a smaller O-ring from a hardware store. And as stated before, it doesn't hurt to use some lube to fit it in the rail. Goodluck!

i know an o-ring is needed, i just took that pic so you can see that it does fit in there. i am going to find some smaller o-rings and see if i can lube it up and fit them in there.

i got some thinner o-rings and couldnt get it to work, so i milled the holes out to a little under what the diameter of the injector head is and used the fatter o-rings, fits snug. thanks guys
