Re: Going BOOST !!!
Piece a kit together yourself or buy a complete one from go-autoworks if you're on a budget but still want good quality or get a Full Race kit.
Just don't half *** it, and once it's all together go to a quality tuner and get it dyno tuned. That's probably the most important part of it, is getting a good quality tune. And also get a good wideband.
If you piece together a kit just get good quality parts. I'd stay away from ebay "Godspeed" stuff.

If I were to buy one, it would be this one:
http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/MTXL.php
Innovate makes great widebands. AEM UEGO is also another popular choice.

400 is a wet dream man, its flat out too much on stock internals. It could be done, but would be a ticking time bomb.
300 whp should be your goal on stock internals, and if you've never had a turbo car before, trust me this will be enough to make you grin, extremely fast compared to an all motor car.

Re: Going BOOST !!!
Go-Autowerks for a kit. For the 300hp goal; the Street kit with the 4831b option would be an excellent fit.
400 is a bad idea for a DD on stock internals.

Re: Going BOOST !!!
take it from me.
i have a b16a i turboed, inferior quality parts i pieced together. ended up paying a grand total of 3000$ and 2 different shops just for the install (pretty much every sigle part had to be custom redone in some way to fit my car), some minor extra pieces and a street tune
...then i blew the motor within a month cuz i was too cheap to dyno tune it (i was beating the car pretty bad)
DO IT ONCE DO IT RIGHT PLZ

Re: Going BOOST !!!
Spark plugs are a very important aspect that should not be overlooked for performance applications. The need for a colder spark plug increases with power output (heat), and different engine management systems have different RF (Radio Frequency) thresholds that require a resistor style spark plug to be used. A resistor style spark plug is just that, it has a resistor built in so that the spark plug can absorb the RF energy generated from the spark. Systems such as Hondata s300 and Hondata Kpro are very susceptible to RF noise interference, and as a result should only be used with a resistor style plug. Datalogging will not work at high rpm, as well as possible ignition misfire if non-resistor plugs are used with the Hondata system. Below are listed RESISTOR style spark plugs:
* BKR7E (good up to 500whp)
* BKR8EIX (good up to 600 whp)
* BKR9EIX (good up to 700-800whp)
* R6601-10 (good up to 1000whp)
* BKR7E (good up to 500whp)

* BKR9EIX (good up to 700-800whp)
