so my seals on my garrett airresearch are fried so currently looking for a new turbo a lil bigger to potentially pull more power and i found a good deal on a godspeed turbo brand new and was wondering if they were any count from someone who had ran one or know someone who has. ive heard good things about their intercooler and piping but never on the turbo.thanks for all responses

i've seen remanufactured garretts and precision turbos online for 350-400 bucks

 

**** go for it... even comes with a warrenty from godspeed. my homie had a turbo from them that pushed his car into the tens on c16 for a year then sold it to my homie whos had it in his car for the last 7 months beat the ****ing **** out of it. it went thru c16 for a year.. to 91 than to e85. got hella power to. **** it... im selling my water/oil cooled garret 50 a/r to get funds for a bigger godspeed snail.

 

right..A Warranty on that wouldn't apply to a good engine if it broke apart. I agree with 90blackcrx. I wouldn't touch them

 

good luck with getting them to honor that warranty! I'd say the majority of the time you get what you pay for... theres a video on youtube about counterfeit turbos and what happens to them when the blow up... kinda like a grenade! who wouldnt love a grenade in the engine bay?

 

Even a warranty from garrett isn't that good. My turbo blew the exhaust seal after 7000miles and they didn't help me out because my car was not factory turbo charged. It was "retro-fitted" to the car.

 

i know better than to buy fake parts but i know shops that swear buy godspeed. one shop had an itr with a gt35 spec snail that pushed him into 10s consistnantly at 490hp. i know better than to buy an unrecongizable brand but when ive seen it work perfectly fine in real life on my homies car for extended use. the shop was like wtf snail you have,,, they took it out and sure enough.. godspeed. wheres these rebuilt garrets dude above us talking about for $400? i gotta see that **** to believe it.

 

considering the fact that you can pick up a garrett for about 600... its makes sense that you could pick up one in that range if its rebuilt

i just bought one with a order from garrett that a rebuild was perfomed on it

picked up a 60 trim for 425 shipped to my door

 

can you please give me a link to where you orderd your turbo? **** if i can have a garret for $200 more than you best believe ill be pushing an oem snail! haha. Trust me ive done enough research that im okay with running a godspeed but ****... **** i always nut over garrets.

 

you can pick up a t3 60-1, 57 trim .63ar, or 60 trim .63 ar for about 600 from any reputable garrett dealer

ebay is my friend! but i also had a lot of communication with the seller before i blindly purchased a "legit garrett" turbo from a stranger he faxed me the info from garret and a pic of the serial number that matched the paperwork

 

Hahah. In that case wait till you see some of the Borg Warner Turbos. Ya got my Garrett T3 Super 60 for 450 from vsracing back a few years ago.

I've heard good things about godspeed intercoolers. Not sure on their turbos, but they're the more reputable among ebay brands. I have also heard ebay turbo companies have been doing better with manufacturing their snails. They used to not be balanced well and have improved their i guess. I don't have first hand experience with them though...
