The 60-1 is a little old in style, but is still a VERY potent turbocharger in the right hands, as long as the combination is right. Sometimes budget may not allow the billet wheels in many cases, and inconel still can work pretty well. Again, depending upon the application.
Godspeed is good stuff. I have used their fmics and wastegates on local's cars before...granted a turbo is a whole different level...
BUT, if i had to run anything ebay-turbo related...it'd be a godspeed.

I had a question about godspeed as well, i saw this : http://www.godspeedproject.com/store...roducts_id=160
and was wondering any opinions on it, i might swap the turbo with a garret t3/t4 .63 trim

we tuned a bone stock b16a2 on 9 psi on the gs 60-1 in comp. to the garrett t3/t4 E trim, and the 60-1 made 315, and the garret made 278... we did 2 complete different tunes on each turbos, but same motor... we did run less timing on the 60mm turbo, and it still peaked all throught the power band... if it will last?? i dont know... garrett turbo is 3 years old ^__^
This is the 3rd thread you keep bumping up old Godspeed threads to try and support...whatever. What do you, work for them or something? ARE YOU THEM? ;-)

No he is just an ignorant kid. he used to be crxboy111 who got banned for being himself and here you can kinda of see why.
Turbo Install:
1. Pre-oil turbo
2. Bolt turbo to manifold and downpipe
3. Run oil lines
4. Drink beer...
How hard is that...
Dude anybody and their momma can be ASE certified mechanic, those tests are for inbred hillbillies. You can be ASE certified and not be able to do a simple task. I don't even know why I'm certified because I didn't get a raise or anything just a patch and some piece of paper.
It's just another way of not replace a piece of crap part is to blame it on a bad install.

I agree that it isnt necesarily a "Know all certification" But it is as anything is in life with education/ and certifications, a right of passage persay. Not saying that you know it all or can fix anything that comes up but how else are you supposed to judge ANYTHING? Also, if you didnt get a raise you need to talk to your boss or get a different job.
not bashing but for $200 more, you could get a real garret 60-1. I am using godspeeds T3/T67 and it's been good but a little too big for my setup so I'm looking into a Garret 60-1 to suit my needs.
