girdle question
okay I have a couple of questions about a girdle. Is it really neccessary for my build, I have a Ls/Vtec turbo build and I am hoping for around 450-500hp. I have stock sleeves on my B18A1, Cp pistons 81.5mm, eagle rods and I am running a GT3076R turbo.
My next question is that my block is already machined and assembled, would this be a problem to remove the already torqued bolts to install the girdle??

yes it will be a problem, as installing the girdle/studs may distort the mains. it is recomended to install main studs/girdle, then have it checked and alighn hone/bore as necceessary./

yea you need to get it line honed after installing a girdle or main studs, especially if both. usually runs $100+~ for the line hone
you dont need a girdle but it definitely never hurts and you can get the 3 caps for pretty cheap
