Getting out of limp mode
ok, I just got my wideband in and wanted to go ahead and start doing a little tuning.Im running just a down pipe right now and only have 1 O2 sensor bung on it. I switched to OBD1 so i just needed that one sensor. I took it out for a while and replaced it with my wideband. After about 10 minutes it went into limp mode and is running rich as hell. So obviously I took it out and replaced it with my O2 sensor. We attempted to reset the ECU by diconnecting the battery and turning on my lights and other things, but it still will not get out of limp mode. Any magical way that I can get out of it?
thanks

should work by leaving the battery unhooked for a bit. What are you tuning with? You can usually set it up so that your computer reads your wideband, thus no check engine light, no limp mode so on.
does your wideband have an output signal? There should be a write up somewhere, i lost my magazine wiht it in it. But basically, you'll want to run in cloosed loop mode, turn off your oxegen heater, and you should be set. You may also be able to use your wideband to datalog with directly in uber, if you run your output signal from your wideband to your computers input for oxegen sensor. I think it has to be a 5v output from your wideband though.
Whyd you post this twice? Anywho, my engine swap is doing the same thing. (assuming limp mode is not letting the car go faster than 40 MPH). Im going to be trying somethings tomorrow and Ill let ya know if i come up with anything.
