Default getting MAP code on boost...

so i tunned my car on hondata s200. transfered the info to the s100. my chip was messed up. sent to back to hondata, got it back. when we tuned it, he fixed it so the check engine light would stop coming on from the MAP sensor. i dont know why it was going off. too lean, or maybe that it touched 11psi for a slip sec.

have to retune and all... but my point.

i hear that it would be good to get an aftermarket MAP sensor or something. something about the stock one always throwing a code when it reads to 11psi ... hondata, no hondata... is there a obd-1 map sensor that will work on my 94 hatch (d16z6) that is "better" for boost? thanks

Good to hear that you have everything figured out. If you are getting a map code then yes, you hit 11.3 psi or so. What are you using for boost control? What do you have it set at? If you don't plan to boost more then 11psi then stick with your stock map. If you plan to boost more then go with a 3 bar map sensor but you will have to go back to yoru tuner to get it configed again.

using a cheap manual controller from boostcontrollers.com. i think it was like joseph p or something. i have it set to where it is @ 10. but when it is first getting there, it spikes to 11 or 11.5, then drops to 10 and holds strong. but i think i have to go out to the tuner again anyway. when i got my chip back. i dont think it is tuned, like i dont think the info transfered cuz the chip was messed up. so where do i buy one of those maps? and how much would they run?
