First time on the track was a 9.75, second was an 8.96...and he's using about 2/3 engine power so far
Most GTR's arent terribly quick though

Screw a bunch on DYNO-QUEEN GTR's. Here's my best friend's FD3S RX-7 
I love GTR's but I can only laugh at them (and other cars) when they barely beat me after spending 5 times more loot. Do you think a GTR owner will brag about beating a Honda or mention the fact that he barely beat or lost to a Honduh? Oh hell no!!
Excerpts from a conversation with an american FD3S Spirit R owner:
Him: Get a real car with RWD and factory boost.
Me: You lost to a Honduh
Him: Atleast get a heavy *** AWD GTR like the other guys.
Me:....???? Ummm, you lost to a Honduh
Him: I wouldn't have any problems beating you if I spent the same amount of money.
Me: Your initial investment already has a $35k leap on me so I don't think so. Oh yeah, you lost to a Honduh .
Him: If I turn up my boost I'll beat you.
Me: Only .7 bar partially tuned so you'll still lose if I turn up the boost to 1bar.
Him: Why don't you buy a real car?
Me: Because I'm having too much fun embarassing people like you !! Did I mention that your over priced RX-7 just got waxed by a silly little Honduh?
From there he chilled and we talked about his hatred of GTR's, real sports cars like the Viper, getting his car tuned and other car related crap. Once he gets past the "don't wanna void the warranty" phase and start adding some real power adders to the car he will romp my beater with ease.
I had pretty much the same conversation with a Japanese Silvia owner who admits to boosting only 1.3bar on an S15 turbine. I ran away from him in third gear even after he got an awesome launch on me!
I'll say this again! Out of all of my friends my car is definitely the slowest but I am having a helluva lot more fun than them!!
Anybody can beat me right now! Hell, I'm rolling with a stock airbox and stock exhaust
! I have to blip the throttle at lights to make sure that it is still running. Too damn quiet!

Those are twin T04S's on a big sideported 13B. Not T300S's like mine but the straight T4 T04S. He just got it tuned to .6 and will be tuning for 1bar soon.

Nice thing about short gearing..is if you need higher speed you can just put on larger tires. If you have a huge *** long tranny you cant do that.

I dunno wot specs those GTRs and FDs run in Japan but I presume the modded ones are pretty mental. Some street GTRs in UK run 9s or 10s and will easily spank a boosted Honduhs.
