Im willing to bet itll get pretty damn near, much like the sc61.. around 22 psi should have around 510whp

it would do that on a 1.8 at around 2 bar. On a 2.0 you could probably do it at only 25 psi.

BTW Jordo -- I think at 22 psi it will be about 550-560.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Thanks for the info..this would be a good setup along with your full race manifold for my race car..

Interesting piece, but you're somewhat misinformed.

1) Our ratings are with the T04E cover.

2) The T04S would add about 15-hp to the SC61.

3) The SC61 retails for $775 with the T04E. With the T04S, you're looking at $875 and $25 would cover UPS ground anywhere in the country, which is the same price as yours.

4) The SC-61 (or even the big shaft SC63 for that matter) has never sold for $1200.

5) We've found that the Garrett T3 4-bolt discharge turbine housing actually hurts, rather than helps develop airflow. That's why we spent the $$ in research & development to come up with our own casting which is optimized for these applications.

6) Finally, I would never throw stones at my competition because sometimes it might come back around and hit you instead.

People do claim to have paid that for that turbo. They say it cost them 1200, which never made any since to me when the retail is $775 I believe. I guess some companies are ripping people off. I have a friend that has one and he said it cost 1200 btw.

I hear what you're saying and I'm really disappointed that someone would price gouge a customer like that, but you and I know that our MSRP has always been $775 (the T04S is extra). Being able to sell it for $425 more is hard to understand. In fact, a number of dealers have been retailing these turbos for wa-a-a-y below that.

Doesn't the sc61 use the gt wheel? How does that compressor (sc61) wheel compare to the one in the pic?

Jordo,
The measurement you're showing is the same. Can't really get in depth about the differences as this is proprietary info, but it is a different casting all together. We supply castings to a lot of other turbo companies with and without our name.

It would have been a lot cheaper for us to just sell something we bought out of the box from somewhere else, but it wouldn't give us the performance advantage our customers have had not only in Sport Compact racing, but also in Buick and Mustang racing as well. Our knowledge comes from racing and that is the soul of this company.

BTW, one of our customers was the first to break 200-mph in a Fun Ford 10.5W Street Outlaw car with a 202 and 204-mph run. This is one of the few cars in this type of racing that still resembles a street car. In fact, it still has working windshield wipers, radio, power windows, stock dash and console.

Sound,
The SC63 (which is a big shaft turbo) retails for $960 with the T04E cover. We rate that at just 10 to 20-hp above the SC61 76 trim, which sells for $185 less in the same configuration.

Interestingly, the PT63 sells for the same price, but will support 745-hp with the T4 exhaust housing and H-cover with the 4" inlet/3" outlet.
