gauges!!!!
i've searched alot, and i have realize that alot of people do not like the a/f gauge why? i thought that if i only and boost and a/f gauges i would be good. my turbo setup ( b20b @ 8 psi) is almost finish and i need to deside with gauges to buy. The reason i thought a/f guage was good is cuz, i' m ganna do some street tuning and with the b20b i CANNOT affort to run just a little lean. please post your choices of gauges and why the a/f gauge is not good ( for those who do not like it).

if i get a egt instead of a a/f , then how can i now if i will be running lean or not? how do you street tune with egt?

Re: (819turbo)
you can't street tune with a narrowband a/f guage or an EGT...you'll need to get a wideband like a PLX, aem, fjo, techedge etc.....

Agreed, all of them are a must. I recently learned the importance of an oil pressure guage when my car was plagued with oil problems .....think he's running Zip's SMC plus. That's the one with 500 rpm increments right?

Right. If you want a light show, go to a rave.

Re: (DaX)
lol.....funny. ok then should i get a wideband a/f ( how much do these come by? ) or a egt. but it seems that the most popular gauges setup is oil pressure + boost + egt. so want is the egt gauge ganna tell me? ( i no that it is exhaust gas temp., but i've never seen one. is it ganna tell me that i'm lean or not or......? please keep giving me feedback, you guys are really helping me. thx.

EGT will tell you exhaust gas temperatures. If these are too high, either something is wrong or you're in it too hard and need to back off.
As far as WB devices, I'm fond of the PLX M300 WideBand controller with display. It has a digital dash mountable display, and can emulate a narrowband signal for the ECU while giving a wideband output to the display. The M300 also uses the less expensive Bosch wideband sensor [as compared to the hideously expensive NGK sensor].
