Default Gague Wiring?

I got 4 gagues to wire up, 2 are GReddy which have no directions. Red, Black are obvious but I have an orange and white too, where do they go and where is a good source for power. I am thinkng the orange is a switched 12V but I could be wrong, and have no clue if it is, which switched source to use. I was looking at the fuse box under the dash and I saw some prongs that appear to be good power sources, anybody know which one is prefered for a gague? I have electrical skill but never wired gagues in a car.

depends on the kind of gauge. prolly switched 12v and possibly another ground. what gauges are they?

Are they mechanical or electrical gauges? If they're electrical one of them will be a signal wire.

The other is most likely the wire to switch the lighting on them on. You can either wire it to a constant source and have the gauge always on, or search under the dash for the wires that light up the climate control buttons and splice into there or on the headlight circuit.

Try this, hook up the obvious 12V wires and ground, then pass something like 1-2V through the other wires and see how the gauge reacts. Even if it is a signal wire, most sensors usually operate 0-5V so that will not damage it. If its the lighting control for the gauge, it'll just light up dimly.

under the dash, use the tabs on the top side of the fuse box. There should be like 5 unused slots in a row. On is 'ignition switch on' power and one is 'hadlight/parkinglight on' power. (i think the are the 4th and 5th ones but dont quote me on that. ) I connected little inline fuses to those, then fed my lighting/gauge power. Then grounds, well, ground them.

Yea I was refering to those tabs, is there a book or manual that will tell me exactly what they are? I have an GReddy Boost & Oil Press. Electronic, Autometer EGT electronic & AEM Wideband to do......what fun this is

get a multimeter and see when each one of the tabs has power.
