What kind of suspension setup you guys are running on this car ? We all know that power is important but a well balanced car is a lot more important when it comes to road racing ( or time attack for the JDM lover )

Where we can subscribe to these major event ? I would like to participate to one of these a good day !

Does this mean more Nissan projects coming out of F-R and less Honda stuff?

I CANT BELIEVE you guys are not even running RAS on that thing. Im not gonna lie, thats plain stupid.

And what parts would that be? After building my 240 I must say, its not exactly cheap. I know the internals for an SR are more then a Honda as are the transmissions. LSD's are the same price although Nissan has more options. Brakes are slightly cheaper on the 240 but the stockers suck *** so Honda kills them anyway. Suspension on the 240 is weak sauce out of the box as well. Add up the price for a good drive shaft and axles and your paying more then you would on a Honda's drivetrain. Am I missing something here? I know a full-race manifold for my SR will cost me more then the one I have on my Honda. So, what gives? Where are you getting these crazy cheap parts?

i agree with geoff also on the cheaper parts compared to hondas for these cars. last gsr tranny i bought i paid 550.00 for last 240 tranny i bought was 250.00 and it was still in a car with a running motor. compare cams between honda and nissan for good cams. alot of other stuff you mentioned(internals, axles etc) are strong enough to handle well over 500hp. just search between the 2, i cant see how you cant see a differance.

but back on topic, car looks great congrats on the win.

I'm a fan of the nissan's as well. Too bad the f&f crowd were introduced to them with their dorifto's.

Well, if you got an SR trans for 250 then you got one hellofadeal! Let me know if you can line up some more because I will buy every dam one of them. (I'm not kidding at all, PLEASE hook me up!)
Cam prices are sometimes the same for Nissan but there usually more. All cams I have seen for Nissan are 500 and up, even used they dont drop much in price. You can get cams for the Honda for under 500.

There are few parts on the SR that will handle 500HP. First off, Iv never even seen an SR make over 500HP on stock cams. The rods and pistons are certainly not up to it either. Its possible, but still stupid. The drive shaft is NOT up too it and nither are the axles. Even with 350HP the driveshaft usually shakes violently at higher speeds and really should be replaced. It is possible to make more power for less seeing as the SR came boosted and our Honda's diddnt, thats obvious. You can make 350-400 on a stock motor with a new turbo and better head gasket. BUT the prices for the turbo and the head gasket are the same as the prices for the same parts on a Honda.

You dont need to advise me to search, I own a mid 400HP 240 as well as a mid 600HP Honda. I think I have a good idea on what prices are. Maybe you should search a bit more.

Huh, I read "stock SR20"??? You mean he is taking about RB's being cheap? They seem to be coming down in price but I would not call them "racecar parts" and an AWD conversion sure as hell aint gonna be cheap.
RB motors are defiantly allot stronger the SR's!

I look at it this way:

A skyline GTR front clip can be had for ~4grand on ebay (no cool guy hookup) This includes the Inline 6 RB26 Engine with ITBs, Transmission, front driveshaft, front axles, front diff, front suspension, turbos, intercooler, ECU, injectors, MAF (x2), harness, HUGE brakes, huge master cyl... if you get the rear diff too with it (Which you will need) there is your BEEFY axles, clutch pack LSD, sick rear brakes, etc. Oh and my OS Giken twin disc clutch was 360$ on ebay...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1

thats a complete GTR front clip on ebay for 4k

Good luck just finidng an ITR clip for 4 grand! Also think about how much it will cost to make the power that the RB has, and even then it wont be able to do it on crap gas, it wont be able to have sick response, it will have puny brakes, and its still fwd. Im 26 years old now, im ready for something other than a fwd car that does burnouts at all times. I really want to smoke supras, and its a whole lot easier with an iron block I6 and AWD in a car the weight of a prelude

...if you think stock nissan susp sucks you are out of your mind
