wondering,take like the inlinepro shorty mani. would it be better to have a shorty because its such a less distance from the block to the turbo. but with a equal lenth would it take longer for the turbo to spool. i dont know,im new at boostin and i was just wondering. can some body let me know the scoop. i basically want to know if its a huge difference between the two.

First off, you need to do a search on full-race to see how awesome they are and also go here http://www.full-race.com and http://www.lovefab.com to see what the best looks like..... then smack yourself for thinking a log style manifold outflows an equal length manifold, if this were the case, cody and geoff would be outta jobs...

and do A HELL OF A LOT OF RESEARCH on turbo's you have a lot to learn

The runners were created analyzing the essential length to keep the maximum amount of thermal energy into each runner. Each runner is also equal length, transfering each exhaust pulse into a low merge angle collector. The collector allows the exhaust pulsations at high rpm to form from 4 individual finite pulses into one giant pulse giving the maximum amount of thermal and sound energy into the turbine housing. The manifold doesnt per say "flow" better, it transfer the energy more efficiently to the turbine.

Yeah well I'm an engineer too, I just dont feel like typing technical explainations, i do enough of that all day.... and jeff's a genius, so ya know, better to hear it from him

 

i think they are worth it you can run a "large" turbo along with an equal length manifold, and the car will be very driveable on the street.

majority of the people asking these questions arent going to even utilize the benifits between differnet manifolds...i.e. full-race manifold with a t3 off a damn junkyard t-bird with 150k on it
