Fuel Pump Regulator... is it needed?

Im going to be running 700cc injectors on my peakboost setup. I was wondering if the fuel pressure regulator was needed and why?

it depends...i was told that i can use my stock FPR because i'm not going to raise the fuel pressure at all...i'm just going to decrease and increase the duty cycle of the injectors
