Fuel pump Options....
Well I have came to the conclusion that I am going to run a 12 gallon Summit racing fuel cell instead of mod my stock tank. I figured this would be more reliable, and easier to setup in the long run.
The outlet on the tank is 8AN.
What fuel pumps are out there that will allow the use of AN lines and fittings, OTHER then the Aeremotive?
I am basically looking for a pump that is less expensive then the aeremotive yet still allows the usage of AN fittings.
Thanks
Bryson

Re: Fuel pump Options.... (Bryson)
aeromotive is prolly the ones that's gonna be in a budget range..as far as inline external pump..
you may also look at paxton, bosch and etc..most will have -8 in and out fittings
the way I look at it is, if you have gone as far as external fuel cell, and bigger lines, you're serious about power and reliability, might as well get the aeromotive...

- Easier to setup then mod the stock tank.
- I will be able to use all AN lines and AN fittings meaning it will be very reliable and hassle free (theoreticly).
- The fuel cell it self is a lot lighter then the stock tank
- Will be safer for racing.
- And of course look nicer in the end.

Still not answering my question...why would you need to modify a stock tank? Just to change the pump? Cuz that takes no time at all, and even if the fuel cell is lighter you still have the stock tank adding the weight....

Because the stock tank would not accept An lines and an external pump. I'm sure I could come up with some way to use the stock tank with AN lines and an external pump, but in my eyes it's too much of a hassle.
I will remove the stock tank once the fuel cell is installed.

No. This car is basically a race/occasional weekend car.
I am leaning more towards the racing. When I say racing, I mean all kinds....Solo, Drag, ATA....ect....
