Fuel Problem...
Today as I was driving home from work, I noticed that my car was feeling really sluggipoo poo just didn't seem to want to go when I pressed the gas. So I look at the fuel pressure guage and I notice that it is slightly fluctuating at idle at about 2.5 kg/cm when it is usually at 2.8 kg/cm or so. As I start to go, the fuel pressure drops some to about 2.0 kg/cm and continues to stay around that fuel pressure throughout the gears.
My first thought was that the inline fuel pump was toast and I think it kind of sounded funny, but it could just be my imagination.
So do you guys think it is the fuel pump or could it possibly be the FMU?
I checked all the fuel lines and vacuum lines and they were all connected.
Let me know what you guys think.

only way to tell is by swapping out parts. start at the regulator. you either have a bad regulator, pump, or a blockage. also, dont rule out a clogged filter.

Re: Fuel Problem... (Jared)
The funny thing is that I just started my car and the fuel pressure was normal and the pump sounded normal. Maybe my pump is just intermittently failing me? Do pumps usually fail like this or do they just stop working?

I think the pump may be getting stressed cuz of the high fuel pressure if thats the case. I am experiencing the same deal man and yet I am using the magical blue box provided by greddy.. Go figure.
