Fuel Pressure Regulator
Okay, i'm looking forward to get a Hondata stage 2 w/ boost and RC 440cc injectors through a Hondata groupbuy soon. Doug recommended that I also upgrade the stock FPR to something adjustable to tune fuel pressure....which one should I get? I have absolutely no experience in this department.
How much is the approximate cost for each of the option??
AEM fpr ?? (is this the one that totally replace the stock one?) cost???
B&M fpr ?? (is this the one that goes on top of the stock one?) cost???
Vortech ?? (goes on top of stock one..like in the "how-to" ??) cost????
which one would be the best one to pick in term of adjustability/reliablity/cost ??

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulator (randomwalk101)
i think they will all be about the same.
the b&M or vortech may be the cheapest
the aem is a 1:1 rising rate and that is something to keep in mind.

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulator (randomwalk101)
Random,
I am looking into getting one so I can lower my FP enough to run the 310's. Jim (JRCivic) has the B&M for $77 shipped.
AEM replaces the whole stock FPR
B&M and Vortech are basically the same thing where you hack the top of the stock one off and clamp them on top.
The only advantage to the AEM is that it allows for lowering the FP below stock whereas the other two only really allow for increasing the FP unless you do the TOO trick where you drill a small hole in the stock FPR. For your needs I would get the B&M or Vortech as you shouldn't need to alter the FP much with the Hondata.

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulator (GSRacer)
I forgot the name of the regulator I have, costs me about 80 bux, regulates up to 60 psi. Works great always makes sure I get enough fuel when needed.

You can lower pressure below stock with all of them.

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulator (redline)
If your not FI but have a header/CAI/exhaust it has been said that you can run lean at some points thru the RPM range. Is a FPR worth getting just in case.
