Found more stuff melted under my hood.......
I've had some underhood heat issues:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1705718
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1702598
After some maintenance on the car, I found my spark plug wire holders melted:
Does this look like damage from underhood temps being high or could my spark plug wired be getting hot enough to do this?

Coating companies should be chomping at the bit to test their products out on you, lol.

you dont have an EGT gauge?? I'd be curious what your exhaust temps are getting up to.
probably just richen it up a little and cool off that exhaust.

Got a new one on there that is not in the direct flow of the exhaust. It is recessed inside the weld nut. Will find out this weekend what EGT's get to driving back roads. And next weekend will find out what they get to driving on track.

It's on the list of things to do. But my air-intake-temps are acceptable on track, so it is not a priority.

Here is all the goodness on my coating issues:

Currently the coating is the 2000deg HPC extreme.

probably need to re-tune that thing, it shouldn't be putting off that much heat to melt things let alone an egt sensor.
how do your spark plugs look? lean?
also, where is your exhaust / wg dumping, if it's to short & going back up into the bay, that could also cause this..

I've had it back for a retune twice now. The tuner feels the everything is setup in an optimal safe configuration for the type of driving that I am doing.
Here are the spark plugs I changed out the other day:

I have had issues with losing bolts every other track session. Heat and vibration are wrecking havoc. My turbo actually fell off during the GT Live race last year:

Manifold bolts, downpipe and wastegate bolts have all loosened before and any one of them could have caused excess hot gases into the engine compartment to cause this damage.

I guess that is part of my question. Is it the external heat from the turbo setup that is causing problems, or it it possible for the wires to get hot enough to melt plastic?

i doubt the wire could get hot enough to melt from its own current. dont feel bad though, you know what they say, if your not breaking ish, your not going fast enough...

Re: (blinx9900)
This looks like it melted from the outside, in other words if the wire was melting it It would be melting it on the bottom, not the top.
It does look like thats a finger print though, lol, you touch the wires?

Re: (JoePSI)
Damn you dont have good luck, I guess the next step is to safety wire all those bolts so they dont back out and make a heat shield above the turbo, maybe instead of brake cooling ducts you need some turbo cooling ducts
