Nay.... if ur set on it i heard the HKS have better quality ones...

I wouldnt tho, you will hear the horror stories about pieces getting sucked into the turbo. I would stick to K&N or AEM Dry flow. I have used both with success...

the only foam filter that was worth a **** was the HKS mushroom and they are getting harder to come by with HKS withdrawing from the US market. the K&N or dryflow are by far the most popular....and for a reason. they work

most the hks horror stories you hear are from fakes. every notice how the stories just started popping up over the past few years? hks is heavily faked. in fact, it's so bad that i will not even consider buying an hks part unless they are an authorized distributor.

it's not. briggs & stratton has been using it for years on tractors that operate in much dirtier environments than our cars. it's just getting harder to come by quality foam filters made for our applications

Please, dont even get me started on people listening to anything thats posted on team integra lol that goes without saying, foam filters are not a good choice for your car, they are designed to increase the amount of particulates they trap at the expense of airflow. Some of the worst flowing filters on the market are foam filters, yet have the highest filtration rate.

that's more or less it from what i've read up on as well. hks was one of the only companies to engineer one that flowed fairly well. but, even their beloved mushroom will loose an hp contest to a dryflow......it might filter better though

Definatly dont do a cheap foam filter, they come apart from the suction of the turbo and only one place they can go, into your engine !

HA! To say TI is run in a democratic fashion is far from the truth.

I did, with a Greedy Unit, and I will not recomend it to anyone.
foam got sucked into the turbo, Happy ending for my story, no damage done to engine, but had to get to an extensive look up of the engine and blower, occasioned expense.
Nothing beat a K&N dryflow, or a Green Filter, they are harder to get a little, but they flow VERRY well, you can have a lot of different lenght and size too...

all in all, dont put any peice of foam in Prior to turbo, anywhere, anyhow, NEVER.

Kranked

damn didnt know there was so much hate against TI
i personally like that site a lot, but ive been an active member since 02.
the site changed once the admin sold it, it was better when it was privately owned from the creator. all of this is just my opinion

i visit h-t to compare my finds between the two sites

I love my 3" K&N compact turbo air filter. But it isn't a foam filter.
