FMIC blockin radiator
i just installed my greddy type 31 intercooler on my 93hatch... after installing it i notice my car runs hotter (according to stock temp gauge) probally because its blockin part of my radiator... is gettin a bigger radiator my only option...?
TIA...

since it is getting close to the summer months, you could try running without the thermostat, but I would put it back in when the weather starts to cool down again. Another thing you could try is to wire up the fan so that it will have power whenever the ignition is on. These are probably the easiest/cheapest options

i didn't notice much of a preoblem with mine...you can get a dual core half size radiator...how much warmer is it running then before?
The car will overheat without the thermostat.
That is because the coolant will circulate around the engine too fast to properly extract heat from the engine.
Try a dual core radiator, or integra radiator if the car has no a/c.

you sure about that? the thermostat opens only WHEN the temperature gets hot and pops the spring in the thermostat. running without one will make your engine not as effecient cause it operates better at a certain temp range.

please don't post stuff unless you are sure the info is correct. the internet is already full of useless crap.

In a nutshell: "running your car without a thermostat will make the water in the
radiator and the engine at the same temperature causing the temperature to rise
ever so slowly to the point of over heating. The purpose of the thermostat is to
keep the engine at a constant temperature, the water in the radiator is allowed to
cool the engine when required, the thermostat releases water to flow through the
engine keeping a constant temperature."
In D15B_Turbo's case, his problem will compound since he is blocking airflow to his radiator.

y not just get the slim 12" radiator fan the guy sells here on honda-tech for $60 bucks shipped . its suppose to flow like 600cfm more than stock and free up some space(3") on the engine bay. and also get some thermal exhaust wrap for the manifold, downpipe to keep the engine bay cooler. this combo will def lower your engine temps and cost you under $100 bucks.
