Default fluidyne problem overheating??

i just put in my new fluidyne with a pro form slim fan. flushed the rad and filled it up with 50/50 antifreeze. first time driving it about 45 miles and i noticed my temp. gauge went from about 35% to 75% cold to hot 5 minutes after exiting the freeway. i have a switch hooked up to the fan and the fan was on the entire time. i dont know whats goin' on. btw, my teg is turbo charged and i don't have a/c or an a/c fan. can someone shed light on this? i parked, let the turbo timer cool down the oil for a minute. let the car sit for about 20 minutes (the temp gauge sat on half way from cold to hot the entire time) and then started it up again, this time the temp needle dropped back to cold and went up to about 35% again. i was able to drive it back home, about 45 miles. this was just weird. maybe i did something wrong? HELP!

Probably just some air in the hose. Did you bleed the system?

yeah i bled the radiator today with new fluid. hopefully it holds up well. i think the thermostats still good 'cause before this fluidyne was put in, my stock rad. ran really well. never went over i'd say 35% cold-hot temp.
