Default fluidampr install problem

i went to install my fluidampr pulley and it seems that there is not enough room for it. I have a H22A in a Civic HB (Hasport mounts) and the problem lies in the thickness of the pulley. the space between the right side of the motor and the framerail doesn't seem to be big enough to fit this thing.
anyone install one on a H22/Civic before or have any insight?

thanks.

Sometimes if there as been any front end damage before on the vehicle there is a bit of an issue, because there is not a lot of room to begin with. Anyways the way that I have used to rectify that is remove the timing belt side mount, and lower the motor down on that side just below the lip of the frame rail to get the clearance that I need.

thats what I was going to try. so when you brought the motor back up and put it in place, there was clearance between the pulley and frame rail? i tried to measure and it seems like it could work but i cant seem to get an accurate measurement cuz its a tight squeeze.

yeah i could take pics if the idea above doesnt work.

No afterwards there was ample clearance. If you email Fluidampr, chances are they will call me and ask me about it.

same problem on r 98 coupe. we are either gonna cut the frame rail or fabricate some different mounts. axle angles are not the best byno means.(hasport now)

Assuming you have the race, it will not fit. Its very possible the street version will fit without the ac and ps pully removed.

The same goes for the B-series in an EF, you have to run a street because the race wil not fit.

with that setup, h22 in your chassis I am not 100% sure but I am going to say yes since its the same size as the stock pulley.

ok, i dropped the driver side of my motor and got the pulley installed on the crankshaft, all the way in. I go to jack the motor back into place, and there's about 3/16" of overlap of the pulley on the framerail. so unbelievably small. so, what do you think of cutting a notch out of the framerail? i checked fluidampr's website and it seems as though they don't have a street series pulley for the H22a.
