Default FJO Injector Driver VS. Resistor Box

I am going to be using 1000cc injectors with a P28 ECU, and I bought a Resistor box. My concern is going to be idle quality since the car is going to be every day daily driven. Will I see better performance with the FJO Driver that is worth the price difference.

I have an FJO, it makes a difference...controls it better at idle...

You will actually be able to get more out of your injectors with a Peak And Hold driver like the FJP or AEM. The Injector driver boxes will open and close the injectors much faster than a Resistor box will actually. On my set up I have Precision 1600cc injectors with an FJO driver box, small changes did ALOT with my idel base map according to JDogg.

About 6 months back someone tipped everyone off on H-T about these FJO units going for $113!!!! I jumped on one quick, these are the older version which has more wires, these are discontinued and the new ones are maybe twice the price as what I got this one for

resistor box is fine for 1000's but if u go any bigger I would recommend FJO injector driver. I cant even idle 1600's with FJO injector driver good

Last year I ran 1000cc injectors with resistor box and my car idled like stock. I wouldnt spend the money on Injector driver unless you are getting 1600cc Injectors. Rest is up to u

i would say so unless your planning on maxing out those 1000ccs right away ,Then maybe like boostfed said they help you get alittle more out of the injector

Yea, I don't plan to use anywhere near the max output of these injectors. My setup posted in my sig is a stock GSR motor. I'm going to run about 10psi to be safe until I can build a block, then I'm going to up the boost and put these injectors to use.

FYI, I now get bigger than needed after I tried using 380cc injectors and a stock fuel pump on my VW once.....

That was with the stock ECU and no tune, lol. I'm pretty sure it was the lack of tune with such a small injector and amount of boost, but I still think it was funny. However with bigger injectors and a fuel pump, I ended up making 359whp and a decent a/f curve. the motor lasted 3 more years and to my knowledge is still running, at least it was when I turned it in... since it was a leased car
